general overview
what are they?
revenants are creatures that inhabit a realm parallel to earth known as the abyssal crest. in order to exist anywhere outside of this plane, a revenant must latch onto something that is both physical in that world and infused with magic for them to use as an initial energy source to maintain a solid form outside of the abyss. they are considered parasitic creatures because of their insatiable diet for magical and emotional energy. without this food source, they are forced to return to the abyssal crest. objects that revenants initially latch onto are known as anchors. revenants first manifest as small, obscure cre
