Description
Hero class (male and female versions)About time I got posting. Apart from demanding school work I've been playing Fire Emblem Awakening. Amazingly fun. The Mercenary/Hero class was always been one of my favorite classes and it's great to see it for the first time in 3D. Drawn from memory of what the class looked like in the game with a touch of my own inspiration added.
Drawn and colored using Krita and Intuos 4

Aw dude this cool! Β I just stumbled upon this on Google. Β They look like neat fusions of Hero and Vanguard Ike from RD plus Awakening's Heroes! I love it! And the poses, and those weird flappy-scarfy capes! Do I detect inspiration from the Glory of Heracles hero perhaps? (I think I do!)

Thanks! I actually wasn't thinking of Heracles when I drew these (at least not intentionally ). It's been some years since I last looked at their art but I do remember it being very cool.

I always used heroes in the front-lines because they can take a large amount of hits. And they tend to kill off the basic units all in one-hitters.Β

It's hard for me to choose between the myrmidon and mage classes.Β The hero class are a short and stocky group.

Myrmodins and mages are good. also up their on the favorite classes list. What I like in the mercenary/hero class is their overall balance. They don't excel at any stat in particular (except maybe skill) but their stats are well rounded. Good speed, strength, health, and defense. What makes them even better in awakening is that they can learn Sol, a skill that allows them to heal themselves up to half the damage they dish out. The percent chance of said skill getting activated is equal to their skill stat (which, as I said before is usually a hero's best stat) My main hero Donnel already has his skill stat in the upper thirties. Activates Sol all the time.
