Description This is some early concept art of the little Spellknight, his fairy-dragon companion Gloria, and the wizard. Some of the characters designs may change. Except Gloria. Gloria is perfect as she is (I wouldn't tell her otherwise. She doesn't like talking about her pastry addiction. And in case you were wondering, all the bags and packs she carries are almost entirely filled with cupcakes, muffins,and other frosted goodness for her. I mean, the spellknight does try to squeeze in a book or two, but without much success).

I can tell you have a lot of fun drawing these two. The knight seems a bit more human-proportioned here - taller and lankier - and Gloria's proportions as well seem to have been exaggerated (which work really well. She's a total gem). Just playing with the designs a bit?

Gloria IS a gem and I'm glad you agree. Yes, this is me tinkering with the character designs. Gloria and the Wizard are in a good spot design wise. I'm pretty happy with the Spellknight too, but I'm still open to any possible design changes that could pop into my head in the future.

Haha, I love how tiny Gloria's legs are!  I imagine them completely disappearing whenever she sits down.

So CUTE!!!!  Gloria reminds me of a large bumble bee :3  I'm interested in reading about the story here.

That was the idea! She flies like one too. Or as you once pointed out, like the Gronckle from How to Train your Dragon.

When I have time I should paint more story moments. Thanks for showing interest!
