Sorry for that but what does "jaunty" means ? And YES, you're right yours and ours Robins are note the same ! In France Robin (UK name) is called "Rouge Gorge" or if you rather, "Red Throat" while thrushes are called "Grives or Merle"...

What a sweet jaunty fellow! I must confess it's odd to me to for you to call this bird a robin, as here in North America, our robins are a completely different bird. Actually yours are real robins, ours are thrushes.
