I've seen a lot of rewriting of Ending 4 of "Star Fox: Command" on the Faanfiction website, and most of it leads to Ending 2. After all, that is the happiest of the 9 Endings.

That wasn't Fox's intention, but as an orphan Fox couldn't tolerate losing anyone important. He didn't want Krystal to die in front of him, so removed Krystal from the Star Fox team.
