The 'Pod' from '2001', the greatest Sci Fi movie ever made. One of my top 10 favorite movies. I know what you're doing here RGUS, but I'll keep quiet. Drew.

As concerns space pods: The following excerpt is from the very rare ‘2001 A Space Odyssey’ novel by Arthur C. Clarke in book form that I own: “Space pods are not the most elegant means of transport devised by man, but they were absolutely essential for construction and maintenance work in a vacuum. They were usually christened with feminine names, perhaps in recognition of the fact that their personalities were sometimes unpredictable. Discovery’s trio were: Anna, Betty, and Clara.” ‘Nuff said, Drew.
