Septa R5I saw this guy get on the train and I had my eye on him the whole time. I just loved his look... mostly the hat, I think. But he looks so worn out.
I set the ISO a bit too high for this one... should have set it at 400 and shot in black and white mode... it looked odd completely desaturated, so I went with about 80% desaturation. It's a change of pace, anyway.

I like this in color because I would almost expect this to be in black and white, you know?
The lighting on the train is also very interesting, it looks slightly dim, the effect of subway lighting, but again it makes it special.
The background is another area of interest for me, there's a man who looks very worn from the daily grind as well as he rubs his eye.
Do people usually say anything about you taking their picture? Just curious really.

I struggle to see the positives in shooting in the black and white mode of my digital, I think it never gives anywhere near the effect it should.
This works well at this saturation level, its as if there is life here, but its depressed by all the tired and restless people crammed into the small space. Good work.
