Oh my! He looks so fierce and protective of his meal-- he must have worked hard for it. I can only imagine how thrilling it must have been to watch this gorgeous animal hunt.

I love the clarity of detail in this shot as well, and that you were able to capture the motion and intent of the bird. It's not as simple "bird nomming fish" photograph-- it's a "prey animal enjoying the fruits of its labor". I'm not sure, but is his posturing aggressive, or was he just being silly with the wings?

I don't think I've ever seen a photo more deserving of a DD. I honestly think I've seen worse photos in that amazing 'wildlife photographer of the year' book! Just amazing and beautiful quality.
