This is brilliant, even if it's not really any Hetalian. Say it's Saxony! No one will know, and Saxony's a bit of a b*tch according to Prussia*, anyway, so he won't be able to say anything.
Anyway, the absolute relaxation of the pose is great. It echoes the flag wonderfully, and is such a sinister attitude considering all of the horror he has balanced so lightly on his back. The colors only enhance the delicious horror of the picture. Their stark and bloody contrast makes me happy. So marvelous.
I am a little curious about the sharm edges between the black and the off-black-red square that serves as a bit of a frame for the whole thing. I like the subtlety, but maybe it could have been placed a little higher? Right now it cuts off at his elbow, and that doesn't really help draw the eye to anywhere interesting.
Anyway, this is a fantastic picture. So very powerful and stark. I love it.
* idk, I've got it in my head that Prussia has been using Saxony as the butt of bad jokes since the Seven Years War.
