I love the detail in this. The background is top notch. Although the perspective of the character and the background does'nt go together (hence the left knee higher than his right). It does'nt detract from the overall awesomeness!

I agree with your keen eye for artwork flaws. I'll never be able to create a perfect piece, but I sure try. Perspective can be a PITA so I force myself to do it more often. Take on weak points instead of avoiding them, the only way to get better.

I know what you're saying, but it is a necessary evil in the field you have chosen(LOL). Even when I'm just drawing people I try to use the same principles. And alas, the perfect piece will remain forever outside our grasp! I started drawing (many) years ago. I never considered myself good enough (even though I recieved an invitation from a young company, working out of their garage, called Dark Horse Comics), but what kept me out of the field was my own perception of an inability to create solid backgrounds. Then I got away from this for a very long time, now I find myself wanting to get back to it and there is soooo many people out there with such great talent. I fear, I have stayed away too long and need to find ways to get better or be lost in the bowels of mediocrity! You are one of those people that can make it to the top and its always a pleasure when I find someone like you on DA. Keep up the good work!
