A few Night Lords I painted to test the color scheme. I was particularly proud of the hand-painted Legion symbols, not looking forward to painting a great many more, though.Basing hasn't been decided on, but I'm thinking desert-ish with some tall dead grass to give a contrast to the dark colors of the armor.
Let me know what you all think, I would particularly like advice on anything for the bases.

How the *#$@%! do you paint something with that detail? I'm currently working on a night lords project as my first entry into W40k, and it's safe to say that while I've used water-based paints in the paints... nothing even close to 28mm size.

the hand-painted legion icons sold it for fav. i've my hand at just monochromatic custom badges and they are HARD!

Love the detailing! The crackled lightning looks fantastic. And good job on the symbols, I find the transfers such a pain in the arse

Yeah I can't stand transfers, so I always try to either cast my own symbol onto the pad, or paint it on there

Yeah that's what I've been doing with my clan symbols on my army. Easier to paint, more time consuming but the transfers are crap. They really need to make them easier to use.

Completely agree! I usually end up giving all the transfer sheets to my local store owner, so new people coming in can put them on their first models that they paint.

Hmm, didn't know you could do that. It might be different over here, but I might ask the fella's at my nearest GamesWorkshop if they want them. Because I have quite a few just laying around, not being of any use to me.
