Description
I drew this as fanart for a novel (fanfic) called "I know what's beneath the Snow Fields".This is my own version of Aeris in the story. The motif is based on a quote from the fanfic.
To be honest, as many times as I've drawn her, this is the first pic I actually dare to submit and share with others, haha.
And I thought I could get away with just ink and color pencils, but nope. So, I used permanent markers for the flowers.
Full-view, please.

This is very lovely! I love the layers in her hair, and the eyes are drawn very true to the character

Wow...sorry about the late reply.
Thank you so very much for the kind words. I'm truly happy that you think so, even though this is reeeeaaaally old. Still, I really appreciate for taking the time to have a look, it means a lot to me.

Don't ask me how, but I never -ed this.
What the...
And I've always meant to ask, how did you make the background? I mean, I know you used markers for the flowers, but they look almost digitally rendered. So cool.

Hehe.
I used markers, and then I blurred the BG in PS so that the focus falls on Aeris entirely (which is does anyway, seeing as she's inked while the landscape is not). I also smudged the clouds a bit.
Thank you so much. : )

That makes complete sense. It was just bothering me that I didn't know what exactly was done. It looked very good.
Very welcome.

Y'know, I support Cloud/Tifa to the death (or, at least, very much so ), but I really don't think that means I have to hate Aeris, unlike some fans. I really like her character, and this pic is an incredible testament to her sweet memory. Kudos!

Thanks. Personally I'm a Vincent/Aeris supporter. It's odd, I know, but that's the way it is.
Thanks for the comment : )

Huh. I'm a Yuffie/Vincent (aka yuffentine) shipper m'self, but I can't see any reason to hold emnity for differring opinions in this case. And you're welcome!

When I read the title and saw the drawing, I thought of Dorothy from the Wizard Of Oz.
Splendid job here.

In my restless dreams, I see that town... Silent Hill. You promised you'd take me there again some day... but you never did. Well, I'm alone there now^Å in our special place... waiting for you.
This reminds me of that.

I like your Aeris. Especially this one.
I think she will look better with hair like that.
I also like the blue clothes. I think she is too pinky

Thanks a lot. : )
It's a pretty odd hairdo, but I think it suits her.
Yeah, I think she looks good in blue. I don't mind thee original Aeris' clothes; pink and crimson are two of my favourite colors.

I'm really glad you like it. I sure worked on it a great deal. It's probably the only picture I ever drew that I actually finished and am happy with (so far).
