Pietro Maximoff, also known as Quicksilver is the twin brother of Scarlet Witch. At first, he was part of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and had several confrontations with the X-Men. Afterwards, he and his sister reform and join the famous superhero team, the Avengers.

Quicksilver is a mutant capable of moving and thinking at superhuman speeds. Originally, he can run faster than the speed of sound. Because he has a high speed of perception, telepaths often have difficulty using their abilities against him. © Marvel Comics.
