Actually Na'vi have everything where it should be.
"Mating" is not sex, its only used to create a spiritual bond between a couple, they reproduce the same way humans do.

if any one here has played the avatar game in the pandroa pedia it says that navi and avatars mate the same way as humans and the briad adds a spirtul and passiont feeling. in short the males have nuts and male and female enjoy sex much more then people do.

My theory that I came up with on my own is that they mate as any other creature would mate and have genitals, just the hairlink is for added intimacy, and connects them in mind as they connect in body hehe
