Ink illustration of something creepy and mysterious (hopefully!). I like the idea of something scary being obscured in shadow. To me, that mystery makes a creature much creepier than if it were well-lit and completely visible. At least I think so...Also, I like the idea of a child encountering some kind of monster, but being more curious than afraid. I think an adult seeing something like this would run away. But I like to imagine this kid is amazed and intrigued, rather than afraid.

Thank you! Shadows can make creatures FAR more effective. If this guy weren't mostly obscured by shadow, he'd probably look rather silly.

Thank you! It took SOO long. I drew it almost entirely with fine-tip pens, and it takes forever to build up that kind of texture/tone. But I'm glad people like it!
