That's an interesting combination of colors; red and green are two complete contrasts to each other, it's a little uncomfortable to look at, and there seems to visually be a lot going on around his face/eyes, so if the intention was to make him look peaceful or calm (At least that's the feelings I would associate with being patient) then I think it's not really working. But I'm not sure what your intentions were, I hear you say that you're trying out some new stuff and you should just keep rolling with that, keep experimenting and try out "some stuff" because it's always really interesting to see what unfolds from it, it is what makes you and your gallery very inspiring ^^

He looks like a wise ol' man, and I think its proboscis looks awesome (Not sure if that's what it's called in English, the elephant's "nose", but I trusted google translate on this one )! I love the way it curls between the tusks.

The little symbol above his head is also a very nice touch. Does it by any chance mean "patient" or is it just random, I wonder

WOE! That is pretty sick, woe... I love the strong contrast of colours. It looks like something you'd see from a wonderful acid trip. I hope that's not offensive, some people don't like the association of something beautiful with drugs...
