FULL NAME: Jaunt the Junco

GENDER/SPECIES: Female Dark-Eyed Junco

AGE: Late 20s

RESIDENCE: Town of Cold River, Frost Barren Zone

COLORS/MARKINGS: Predominantly slate grey with white hair streaks, wing roots, and forearms; pink to mauve beak and lower legs, mahogany eyes

CLOTHING/OUTFIT: Puffy hooded down jacket, ski boots and gloves, , insulated ski jacket and pants, audiophile headphones

LIKES: Heavy metal and metal in general, flight, nature and the outdoors, her hometown, helping others, partying afterwards, weight training

DISLIKES: Flakiness, stupid excuses, being in a position to help and not helping, most pop music, overly large egos

COMBAT STYLE: Jaunt has average strength and faster than average speed, as well as flight capacity. When working as a team she tends to work at long range as a scout or spotter.

BACKGROUND:
Jaunt the Junco hails from the far northern reaches of the Frost Barren Zone. A local of the area with a strong attachment to her hometown of Cold River, Jaunt grew up alongside Rian Snowblind and Snap the Stoat, but initially blazed a different path while the other two were working to reverse engineer Eggman technology. During the winter months when the extreme weather and isolation prove a more than sufficient natural defense for Cold River, Jaunt has been travelling to points south and assisting with the Resistance as needed, gaining numerous contacts in various resistance cells in the process. Now that Rian and Snap have returned semi-permanently to the area, she has established herself as part of Team Snowblind, hoping to steer the group to move from just local defense to giving the same sort of assistance she has been doing for years.

PERSONALITY:

Hyperactive, rambunctious, and occasionally overbearing, Jaunt adores both heavy weights and heavy metal and nonetheless is likely the most truly heroic member of her team. Beneath the metalhead, thrashing exterior is a brutally honest optimist who’s always asking “could we be doing better?”. Gifted with a knack for leadership and strategy that tends to be lost on those around her, Jaunt is content to run things from the background while Snowblind is the more visible face of the team. She has been pushing the team to operate more offensive missions in areas more deeply involved by the occupation, as she feels like sitting on the technology that they possess and not either sharing it with other resistance groups or otherwise assisting directly, is both selfish and a major disservice to the resistance cause. Much of her thought process tends to revolve around maximizing potential, whether it’s technology, relationships, or weight training, though she’s not without her own occasional reliability issues from her partying tendencies. For the most part, though, it seems to balance out.
