I actually have a comic for this weekly challenge featuring Michiyo-chan's character Lancelot but I wasn't sure I was gonna finish it in time and I didn't want to risk rushing it and making it look goofy. I try to do my best when it comes to other peoples's characters! But I've had this Bijou design for a bit though so I figured I could just finish that and complete the weekly challenge like that~

Why does it matter, finishing the challenge on time or not, you ask. Well, I'm not sure it does. It just feels good to have every weekly challenge done, I guess! Like a badge of pride or something. I'm kinda doing something productive for the group and showing my appreciation, that sorta thing.

Anyway!
My concept for Hoshido!Bijou (or should I Hoshido her name up too... Botan... maybe... ) is that she was probably still cast out from her family but it was more like... unofficial. Because Hoshido may care more about their public face and that might not look so good so they just sent her to a monastery so she could be out of the main family's hair. Actually, she may not be a true daughter of the family since that feels more in keeping. Her dad probably still did something bad but he'd never get executed, I'd say that's probably way too dramatic. He probably just got cast out like a ronin, started walking off and never came back. So Hoshido!Bijou is likely... less... prideful and blunt and more kinda lethargic. Because it's a different kind of bitterness she has. She still likes to read and as a Hoshidan, I like to imagine she's especially fond of yokai and ghost stories. Loves to scare people. Doesn't really believe in higher powers but does believe in keeping the shrine tidy and boy will she give you a hard time if you dirty it up. Nooooooo litter, kids!
