Trying out for a new group... I was actually going to go for an older male but gave me some great inspiration so here we are.
Hope you like her, she's uh, something alright.

Cicely is a person who puts 110% of herself into everything she does. Excitable, boisterous and social, she enjoys company, especially when drinking or eating and makes many friends though she rarely keeps in touch. Her personality in general is rather welcoming, she's always ready to share a story or invite someone to go on an adventure. She views every loss as a learning experience and seems to bounce back from everything with a big grin on her face. She is wildly competitive and will do most anything if it's for a dare; winning is something she strives for in everything. Despite seeming arrogant at times, she welcomes any and all critiques! She'll even hound people for them. Pain, insults nor passive-aggressiveness has an effect... even sarcasm bounces right off her. Her straightforward personality can break through normal conventional barriers as she always figures she'll just 'think about the consequences later'. Everything's an opportunity so even in defeat, she remains insufferably chipper.
Unfortunately, this is precisely what makes her so terribly annoying to deal with. The 'later' never comes. She throws herself into fights and impossible situations because she wants a challenge and felt like doing it at the time. Her mouth just runs and runs and the idea 'oh maybe I shouldn't have said that' never quite crosses her mind. It's not that she means to be inconsiderate; she just is. So very naturally. She busts right through peoples's boundaries without thinking and doesn't remember anyone's status enough to watch her tongue around the powerful or important. When she's angry, she's angry, and she'll let you know, in her eyes, that's just common sense. She's also just rather strange in general, sparring all day and night without stop, hounding people she thinks are powerful and challenging most people to any type of contest she can think up. She rarely dials down her excitable personality. She's not much for deep thinking and often gets stumped if you want an interesing take on something. When it comes to the world at large and things like politics, she just figures some random person like her's not supposed to care about it much and she returns to shrugging it off.
History:
Cicely doesn't really remember her parents and she lives her life fine with that fact everyday.
Left on the doorstep of the Rosewall Abbey as a baby, the poor sisters and monks could never quite deal with the rambunctious child whose curiosity and inability to think critically made her a walking disaster. She lived in a small village named Aderna in the south of Libetellus. Due to the size of town and lack of traffic dinners could be rather sparse but Cicely was happy and grew well all the same. She grew to appreciate fine foods that much more. Many of the other orphans and clerics in the church took to healing magic, as it helped the villagers and provided future abilities and possible professions. Cicely also found the idea of magic fascinating but found she had zero aptitude for it, no matter how hard she tried. As her sisters and brothers came and went, she began to get stir-crazy in the church. Adventurers who sometimes passed by for blessings and aid intrigued her and she had a strong need to leave her nest. She one day met a foul-mouthed mercenary in a bar in town (somewhere a young girl really shouldn't have been, mind you!) and found herself dazzled by his colourful stories. She made her mind up after several of these meetings; she would become a mercenary herself! As a spunky 13-year old with little wordly experience, Cicely practiced with candlesticks and mops, pretending she was a great and famous swordswoman. Her peers and superiors filed many a complaint to the point she became infamous not only within her church, but in the village as well. But there was no changing her and eventually most people just got used to it. The reprimandings may have continued but they did nothing to lessen Cicely's iron resolve.
Cicely found herself spending less time in the church in general - when she wasn't hiding from a chiding, she was just eager to experience new things. She'd always preferred the outdoors and it she was able to begin building up her strength helping old folks with storage and carrying things when needed. She bought her first real sword when she turned 16. She cried tears of joy. Cicely stayed in town, practicing and helping with the town wall repairs and the very rare occasional skirmishes but quickly became bored. With the blessing of the church and its father, Cicely departed for the open world, with no real plan apart from to experience as much as possible. When she was 19 years old, she had become a junior mercenary in a small company. Overconfident, she went to take on a group of bandits on her own and was soundly defeated, nearly losing her life in the process. She was rescued by a mysterious warrior she describes as 'a violent autumn tornado with vicious scars and an axe that moved like merciless lightning'. They picked up her weakened body with ease and returned her to her company before disappearing just as suddenly as they'd come. Seeing them gave her a new drive to improve on her skills and she has since moved from place to place and found a master for a while who taught her some of his tricks. He was a hermit of a man, who believed meditation and skill were the keys to victory, not brute force and she learned many things under his guidance. But staying in one place wasn't her style - nor were goodbyes. She bought him his favourite baked snack, left it there saying she'd be back to challenge him one day and set out once again. Cicely often found work as a lone sell-sword, finding mercenary companies and her don't quite mix. For a variety of reasons. She dreams of finding her rescuer one day but has not stated her intentions regarding them.
TLDR: Left on the doorstep of a small-town church, she became a mercenary after hearing wild tales in a bar, eventually bought a sword and left to become a mercenary. She was almost killed when she took on a band of brigands by herself but was rescued by a mysterious stranger who she chases to this day. She has since honed her abilities and become a sell-sword.

Fun Facts:
- Cicely is the queen... when it comes to food-eating contests. The girl could eat a mountain and still demand seconds.
- This gift did not make the transition to drink. She loves alcohol, the stronger the better, but gets drunk very easily. And is a very violent and giggly drunk to boot.
- She gets along very well with kids and the elderly, doting on both when she can.
- She only sleeps about five hours every day and is a disgustingly energetic morning person.
- She received the scar on her cheek from... the Knife Incident. She drunkenly indulged in a mercenary colleague's amateur magic show, volunteering to be a target for a knife throwing act. Needless to say, everyone was drunk and the knife missed the mark. She does not allow people to throw knives at her head anymore... it's... a personal thing.
- The scar on her leg is something she got in battle; an axe strike from an impressively built bandit warrior called Boreg the Barbarous. She is very proud of it and, as such, quite likes showing it off.
- She has quite a few miscellaneous scars here and there, including one particularly odd jagged one on the top of her right hand. She can't remember ever getting it, though.
- Quite superstitious. She has small little beliefs about this bird being unlucky or always putting your left shoe on first and suchlike.
- Has a variety of old stories about defeating this bandit or this great beast and she's always eager to share them.
- Always takes a a long run early in the morning.
- Surprisingly passionate about good boots and keeping them in a fine condition.
- She often wears gloves but if you ever see her hands, they're full of calluses from training.
- She has a bad habit of quoting from a war book by Sir Artibold, a knight she admires.
- Don't let her tell a story - she'll spend the whole day telling you how full the moon was on that mystical night.

Hey, thank you so much! I'm really passionate about flawed characters and ones with big personalities, I just find them so much fun. There are so many grumps in the group too, I'm really hype to see how all these characters handle each other. Let's pray Cicely doesn't push her luck too much. I really like designing characters, especially fantasy ones! You can have so much fun and get really creative with patterns, capes and fur... all that good stuff. I'm glad it looks so professional though, golly, that's just so nice!
