It's great that you replicated the misalignment of the textures like they are in the actual game.
I love isometric art - this is really awesome!

after having fav your work, I leave a comment to say that this tribute to Quake is truly amazing and very successful.
I can not imagine the time spent to complete this masterpiece...
Congratulations for this fanart, and happy birthday to Quake, it has 20 this year, in 2016.

Thank you. It doesn't really take that much effort, I make the pieces of the puzzle (textures and items) and I place them in the grid like a little virtual model.

It takes Β a humble man to say such humble words. In fact this is true masterpiece and a best tribute to Q1 i've ever seen.

Really impressive - I haven't played for years and I can still recognise this area.

Now imagine a Rpg game set in Quake universe that would look like this.

As a huge fan of both the Quake and Fallout franchises, I have to say that this is THE MOST KICK ASS, ABSOLUTELY AWESOME concept for a Quake remake EVER!

Thanks, kind sir. I am glad to see that the old Quake boys are still alive and kicking (shooting actually).

I can not believe that the game is 18 years old already. I feel sooo old...

Yes, sounds weird, 18 years is a lot. Β I used to play this game on my Pentium I 133Mhz
over and over and over and over again. And I am planning to play it more ifΒ
I get the correct emulator for the game.Β

You don't need any emulator! The game works fine in Windows 7. It is half price just now in Steam:

Moreover I will recommend you to try "Dark Places" a free moddification for new shaders and graphic effects. Looks really good!

Wow dude, that was great!
Have you thought about re-creating the game that way!?

Ricardo73 In reply to AirFerno [2011-04-12 18:51:21 +0000 UTC]
Yes, something like that will be cool, but... I started a game one year ago, I stop doing it about 6 months ago. I can think about doing many things, but it is hard, and I am lazy...
BTW, the game is not about Quake.

Anyway, I found your very interesting initiative!
I noticed that you work with games.
Could you do me a favor? I scheduled some time this game:

What do you think of it?

Hey. I downloaded it and played for a while. You must be proud if you can complete and upload your very own game (mine is still unfinished). Very classic arcade style, but the difficult is far too much, in my opinion.

Many thanks mate. I'm happy for a professional like you have enjoyed my game. In fact the game is very difficult. But this project I stopped to make a 3D.
But I liked a lot of your project, and I would play it even if it was a demo.

This is another isometric pixelart inspired in one of my favorite games, Quake. I started doing a little section of the first level, but then this area began to grow up more and more...
The shadows are not "pixel art", but a Photoshop brush.
Probably I will improve this picture later, but I upload it right now becasue I can not wait to show it.
Any criticism is welcome.
