I'm guessing you used acrylic paints on this, right?
It's a wicked picture, and I like the texture and contrast. Not too bad on the detail department either.
One thing that bothers me is the flatness of his body. The sword strap, fur cloak and the ragged collarhole seem to be suspended on air rather then stretched across a bulky body. Some more detail on that part woud have made the trick, I believe.
