Description well, my first attempt in a panorama image..because my camera doesn't have a wide angle lens neither a panorama mode, I had to take three shots from the same point and hoped that they didn't get to diferent from each other...after that it was up to photoshop cs2 and my pacience to finish the work...
...
(not so bad for a first time)

the place: colombo shopping, in lisbon, one of the largest shopping malls I've ever been to...

Well, it is huge, true. But amazingly, there is a new one, even bigger, just a few miles away. In Portugal, malls are omnipresent. I wouldn't say it is a god of shopping but undoubtedly a temple of shopping.

Oh, and thanks for the comment and the fav

Yes temple sounds much better it's differently the place to go if your a shopaholic. or maybe the place to stay away from depending how bad you are at holding back.

I personally prefer the outside. There are lots of interesting things to do rather than spend an afternoon on a mall...

...unless you're with a friend for ice-cream and/or movies.

yes, first try..I really should try more panoramas...but since they take a while to do (I'm sort of a perfectionist in the making) I rarely do them...
and thanks for the comment and the fav

Well, maybe should you consider a stitching prog, rather than using PS (or at least a dedicated plug-in) There are a lot of good (free) ones

I've seen better I have to admit, but in that point of view it has a certain "quality". but thanks for the comment, nevertheless

if its quality then I suggest you to pay attention on detailing, make sure that it looks extra attractive to an eye.

sorry for the late reply, but yes, I can tell. It is in Lisbon, near a place called Benfica (don't mistake for the soccer club) and it's called, "Centro Comercial Colombo". I don't know if this reference is good enhough, but if you need more, ask.

Very nice work.

If you plan to shoot more panoramas you should give the nice, free program called Hugin a try - look here: [link] - it is one of the better ones for putting panoramas together.

sorry it's taken me so very long to comment on your photos!! -__- but i was away for a week and blah blah...anyways, i think this is an amazing photo for a first attempt at panorama. it's beautifully taken, the light, shaddows and details are so clear. your eye follows the entire photo, all the way from the floor to the ceiling, it really captures you attention and imagination, well done! and the architecture of this building is amazing, i especially love the glass roof ^^

...but as you said..it works...maybe I should start using this for my university works..
