Description
Awesome title I know. My first project of the semester, I couldn't upload it until now because I couldn't find a scanner large enough. The original (which is 18x24) is on the left, but the initial idea of this picture is on the right, so I uploaded both.
India Ink, black pen
If you would like a print of just one or the other let me know

So very beautiful and flowing, where the lines are placed gives a good weight in all the right places This is a piece I could look at all day <3

This is brilliant ! The swirliness inside the owl's body is gorgeous , gives it a great fluid sort of feeling. They both look so awesome , delicate and powerful at the same time .

I love that certain spots--like the wings--aren't complete. The texture inside the body adds to the flow of the illustration. They're both very beautiful. Owls have always been my favorite animals.

Thanks! I tried to make it disappear as it went up to lead the focus downward.

I love the swirly patterns on the owls. It seems like they're moving, and the effect is nice.

Thank you, I tried my best to create a sense of movement, there's a lot you can do with just one element of design!

I love the texture that the lines give to the body. As to the question of light or dark, I'm drawn to the light one, but the dark one is intriguing also. It gives it the feel of an owl hunting at night, whereas the light one is more of a traditional sketch.
