Waaaah first official post of the year!! ^o^ (Last post was just practice ok sh)I had a lot of fun with this, experimenting with different colours and actually putting colour into my paintings LOL
I stayed on PS the entire time for this and figured out different techniques for shading;;
Yeah my new theme is going to be girls and phones from now on hehh

I'm not sure if you remember me (it's okay if you don't... wait, I hope that didn't sound snobby, it really is okay! *twitches*), but you commented on my welcome thread a long time ago, in about December. I ended up being a bit slow, to say the least, but I can finally check out your work! I'm not very good at commenting on other peoples' work, but I'll start with this: wow! This is fantastic! I really like the soft feel of this painting. I can't seem to achieve the same effect in my own work without making it too blurry. I particularly like how the hair looks - how do you do it?
And I need that keychain. Need it.

Usually I just sketch the hair and then use a square brush and fill in the general shape of the hair,
then go back in with a thinner brush for thin strips of hair! And try out the overlay and multiply for the effects! Really helpful!!

Lovely. Maybe you should give some sharpness to it, along with darker shades, but it looks good. I like her expression. She is so innocent. And that little octopus is cute on the phone.

Also nice use of brush stroke here for shading, it's smooth and watercolor-y feels. Maybe you could fix the lineart a bit, right now it looks rough, I understand, this is only your attempt of practice though.
