I've never seen US forces with face masks. I thought that was strictly German.

American Delta Force, SF, Rangers and the Navy SEALs are the main users of face masks, to keep their ID from enemy forces as well as usin' fake names. The Marines used them in Iraq but only because of the sandstorms.

Yes, but in certian places (like cities in the desert, and the desert its self) Soldiers improvise by puttin cloth or whatever they can get over their faces to keep sand out of their faces in sand storms or just on a regular day.
