I'm dedicating this watercolor to my son, who, like me, has suffered in unrequited love situations and truly, who hasn't?
The First Pour of this piece stymied me at first, so I used is as a background for Madonna and Child with Watecolor. Then I
emailed a photo of the first pour to an artist friend, and he said he saw an exploding heart. So, ...that gave me the idea. That oddball
protrusion upper left would become a torch. It's a dark watercolor...but I remember those dark days after losing that love of my life.
For me they're just a tiny blip on a radar screen, but...not for my son, whose memories are still close by. RCG
