For those who noticed, I added a broomstick
handle...and my usual 'comfortable' border. Hope
this doesn't bug.

Hey, WOW! Such a beautiful display. What I love so
much of these personal FAVE displays is that I always
discover another (or two....or more!) artists who become
MY personal FAVES...and AnemiaSymptom is the one here.
So: A DOUBLE THANKS so much. You've made my day...again
Chris!!

Oh....Fantastic!!...It's so Dickensian...!!!

Dick van Dyke also comes to mind in "Mary Poppins"

richardcgreen In reply to TriciaS [2012-07-28 23:07:21 +0000 UTC]

Good word...Dickensian. The w/c sheet was the next-to-
the-last on the block and had been 'polluted' by water
seeping through the earlier sheets of paper. Hence, vertical
ripples all over. I finally decided to just intuitively start
painting a figure ~ blindly ~ and mistakenly RIGHT in the
center. How to get out of this one? It's not my favorite.
And I'll buy a new block soon! THANKS, and enjoy the Olympics!

I am enjoying them....Just watched the rowing ...and waiting to watch our one hope of a gold ..Bradley Wiggins(what a name)....in the cycling!

I wish I could find another life time to watch the Olympics,
and truly my favorite sport is tennis, and they just don't show
that here. Just give us the results. I admire swimmers and gymnasts
but that's about all they show. Guess I prefer the Winter Olympics.
Speed on snow and ice (to me) is preferable to speed in the water.
I'll bet London is a zoo, I mean a real loony bin!!!!

Enjoy: Dick G

According to reports the city itself is really quiet...They are all at the Olympics!I've watched the tennis...I shouldn't have said that...its very mean of me!

I'm just watching the cycling!!!

Hi - Thanks to Google, I found the music (FREE! Sheet Music,
completely downloadable) to this wonderful English hymn by Sir
Hubert Parry. It is heard at the end of William and Mary
Series 1, Episode 3, which I surely hope you can see for yourself
soon..so we can compare notes. I was going to write to ask for your
help ~ I'm pretty sure it was played at the Wedding of William and...
Kate! But I Googled my way there! Enjoy:

I' m getting excited...Andy Murray is playing Federerin the final on Sunday...but then you would know that!

Oh, how can I thank you? That's the most
beautiful version I have heard to date ~ I get so
choked up when I hear that hymn, and now I know I
heard it first, as I watched The Wedding. I know that
Murry is having a great 'day' at the Olympics. Hope
he can take out Federer, although I don't dislike
any of the players. Andy need a win...esp on
English turf!!!!

Thanks again: dick g

I cry buckets of tears on these occasions....and it's the music that does it...and choirs singing!!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

richardcgreen In reply to TriciaS [2012-08-04 21:24:19 +0000 UTC]

Me too. it's a horrible affliction, esp for a
male. I took my family once to HΓ€ndel's Messiah
and (having sung it as a tenor twice in college) I left
a blithering idiot, and wished I could have listened
and sung along in my own box, like at the opera, where
they're allowed a small bottle of wine!!!! But, Trish,
I majored in music in college, started on the piano at age
three, and went to church with my folks for the Lutheran
hymns. I'm so glad to be learning more of Parry's music.
THANKS again for that link. When I'm sad, when my son
leaves home in August, I'll go there...and let it aaaaalll out!

Goooollly! Maybe you folks ARE as bad off as we are.
I am a fan of what I call TRUTH TV, and watch until depressed!
On CBS's 60 Minutes Scott Pelley narrated a story of all
the kids (and their families) living out of their cars, esp.in
Florida. The kids get ready for school (wash, brush teeth) in
gas stations, etc etc. What you tell me is deeply disturbing!
But then again, I can imagine the ticket prices. There are times
when ~ for big football games ~ seats can go for $5000, and
plenty of idiots who pay the price! Rich idiots, but nevertheless:
idiots!
I'm getting depressed, bye:
