Description
Many of the world's best-known composers of music borrowed, and I'm not talking money here (although many may indeed have done that too!)No, what I mean is they borrowed from THEIR OWN works, oftentimes incorporating complete movements to integrate to a newer work. So it is that, as I'm struggling
with my latest painting, I like to mess with pieces I've done before, adding here and there, blending this and that, turning it upside down and backwards...just to
put together A NEW PIECE, much like the Baroque and Classical composers did (amongst other epochs to boot!).Β Such is the case here. If you search my gallery,
and that may take a while, YOU will indeed find the pieces that make up this brand new effort. And THANKS for hanging with me here!!! RCG

I really like this piece. The boats provide a nice anchor in the reality that opens up afterword, inviting to the surreal world of shapes and never ending stories. Awesome!

THANKS much. If I do ~ or label ~ anything DIGITAL, like this one,
it's almost always trying to squeeze more life out of my watercolor pieces,
as is this case. Appreciate your super comments!!

Interesting idea.. I don't see why not.. we recycle, reuse, repurpose most everything else and it's a good thing .. why not art.. and make something different every time..

Lovely composing...It has a magical feeling..Otherworldly I think !!!...I love the organic mixture and the space around that gives it a suspended, floaty feeling that works so beautifully with the boats!!!

THANKS Tricia!!! AND Thanks for the FAVE. Some of these reusable parts work in and instant,
and others I just have to give up on. It has my desired % of realistic to abstract stuff going on.
Hope you're well. I'm enjoying Grantchester on Sundays nights. Hope you've enjoyed them tooooooo!
Hugs from richard

Love the re used parts!!!
Grantchester is one of my favourites!!!....I watched the first instalment of Mr Selfridge last night....It's a busy one...Lots going on..but not as much charisma as last time....will it evolve I wonder

Mr Selfridge must have run long ago in England. You must have passed on that. It's a cute series...
My wife really enjoyed it. Just OK. Give me Foyle anyday!!! YES, it does evolve. I think the
curious part is that they cast Jeremy Piven ~ quite well liked in the US ~ as Mr Selfridge. He does a
great job.Β

I watched all the other Mr Selfridges...This is the follow up brand new series..1st showing ...continuation from when his wife died in the last series and now it's the about the planes that were being built after the first world war..and Selfridges is in trouble..........I love the actor who is "Mr Selfridge"

J.Piven is quite well-known as a US Actor...he really got his start about the mid-nineties when he starred
as the cousin of Ellen (Degeneres) on the highly popular weekly Ellen which I admit, I got hooked on.
Their writer producer team was superb! Tally ho, my sweet!!!

Do you remember seeing 'Spencer', her tv cousin? Jeremy Piven did NOT
start in the series until after about 2-3 years. Before Spence, Ellen's roommate
was Adam Green (Ayre Gross)...he was also quite good and funny, but had to
quit the program for some reason!!!

Oh..Alot of good things change....not always for the better!!!You're lucky if replacements are good!!Mr Selfridge is reported to becoming increasingly dark!!!Wow!!

Ah, he has a couple of episodes of extramarital flings with a couple of women, I think...
not sure if it's dark...and I remember : toward the end his wife does get, I believe TB...
hate to give these things away....so I better zip it!!!! Enjoy.....it's a good series...

Not so stressing anymore... will get the prints next week, in high time, should say... a lot to do still, but mostly routine work Hanging the exhibition is always a bit tricky despite the plans... YouΒ΄ll get the report afterwards!
Have a nice weekend, and thanks for your summerlike works, thatΒ΄s what we need right now!

I'm glad to know I'm doing summer works...they are rather warm, I suppose.
Sounds like quite a thrill to do a gallery showing...wonder if it will ever happen to me.
I did one at a State College in 2010...but in my opinion, it was a disaster, and I'd never
agree to THAT type of presentation again. Anyway, enjoy your gallery busy-ness, and
DO let me know how it turned out. AND THANKS....
