Description
The frustration I experienced in the field of advertisingwas focused around the reality that clients are forever
shooting down really creative work. They want 'safe,'
just like their competition is doing. In this little W/C
done in 1993, the Creatives are in the rubber raft
(the work can really be this exciting!) and they are about
to fall on the Client...and have their bubble burst ONE
MORE TIME.

Work in a different line of business but the concept applies universally, lot of clients not so well formed or colourful as the fishΒ

Loved your comments. It took me a few seconds
to get the 'ME TOO' deal. You've been there too,
or ARE THERE nOw!!! There still are only two
kinds of ad agencies: CREATIVE and INCOME STREAM...
Glad you enjoy my gallery...REALLY!!!

Exciting painting, both in subject matter and in aesthetic value. Love the fish - it looks as terrified as the creatives are

Thanks again. It sat in my office at the agency
for at least five years, framed and everything.
A writer finally offered me $50 for it - so I
took it! (She died of a brain tumor about five
years or so after that, so...no idea where it is
now.) Have a great day!...

She had a bargain I'm sure! Some "children" leave their home and we dont know where they are, we can just hope they have a good home

Well, we're in synch there: I too think of my
paintings as my children...I know not where
most are. One even burned, while the entire
house went up in flames!
