Description
Originally, I thought of entitling it Queen Isabella and Her Tributaries but I kept it simple.Frankly, this painting was a struggle from day one. I do believe it has to do with connectedness ~ streams running
into other streams, a face connects with an escaping figure, man and woman connect under a spooky tree, etc. etc.
But when I look at it from a distance, I see Queen Isabella of Spain, in profile. It's all just too...surreal.

Water is the fountain of life and I love the figure with it's body full of trickling, life giving water. I think of the growing tree fed by the water and becoming the tree of life.Life with it's mysteries are in your picture too.Things that happen that we have no understanding of....It's so beautifully surreal....I never know what to say there are so many thoughts buzzing around in my head. That's what art is supposed to do ..isn't it???Your pictures certainly make people think which is why I love them so much....and if you see Queen Isabella then that is good too(I would never have thought of her,,,if you hadn't said!:

Hi Ho !!! You are finding things I never dreamed of, Trish. Nice going! Certainly is thrilling
to think we can make our audience think with our artwork. I just got the latest issue of
Watercolor Artist magazine...and I've really got to try something different. I'm 'thinking'
WOW, what a copout! just pouring paint on the paper>make a cloud of paint> what do I see there?>
develop that. What a weird strategy!!! Well, we keeps trying!!! Hope you are well...we are having a
cool day here...high of 68ΒΊF with winds up to 30mph. The swimming pool will be people-less,but with
a lot of crud to clean out. Yuk...anyway...give me the cool days. THANKS So much for your excellent
comments!!!
Best regards...

I went to the library, and I took out 3 books on water media techniques, mixed media etc etc.
I like to look at examples, and I say: 'I'd like to do something more like this.' And then I concluded:
About myself:
1) I want it (art) to be easy! ~ AND IT ISN'T EASY. (Some artists make it seem that way, tho.)
2) I don't want to feel any fear or hesitation in starting something (artsy): ~ AND I CANNOT LOSE SOME FEARS.
Β Β Β Β Β Anyway, those are my thoughts for right now. Our bird feeder has been ignored, forgotten, etc etc lately.
I think the birds are dealing with baby birds, raising their young. Like, WOW! They just disappeared!!!
I know soccer is the current fever. Some of these manly ads on the tele are really....REALLY misaligned.Β (read: STUPID)
We don't follow soccer in the US...too much. Even my Mexican wife doesn't follow it. It will soon pass, Trish.
Β Β Β Β Β I'm going for a bikeride...Toodaloo...

Hope the Β ride was good!!!....At least we h ave some good things on tv!!!Did you know that Martin Clunes is playing the part of Arthur Conan Doyle in a series.???
π: 0 β©: 1
richardcgreen In reply to TriciaS [2014-06-14 14:13:30 +0000 UTC]
That should be an awesome series! Did Doyle have as exiting
a life as Holmes and Watson? Probably: YES! The bike ride was
very good ~ esp as a cardiac and leg workout. I just have to pick
times whens pollens are relatively low. We're in the high season for
allergies right now, late this year due to that monstrous winter.
Thanks for keeping me informed Trish... you are a SWEETIE...
Hey, guess what!! I paying for some recent (yesterday) dental

their team beat (I think) The Cameroons (sp???). We don't get any tennis covereage
on US television nowadays...except the last match of the US Open!!! How BAD is that???
Good luck at the dentist...

THANKS so very much. It's always a thrill
to meet someone as yourself, with such a passion!!!

I had a design instructor ~ long ago ~ who told us:
"If you want to do something badly enough, YOU'LL DO IT!
