I really love this image overall. The subject is clearly defined and the blur in the background and foreground is very tasteful. You have a fantastic eye for detail, and it shows.

My favourite part is the cooler tone to the image. I find that photographs with similar colours and tones often look too washed out and boring. Your image has a beautiful, crisp, balanced colour set.

The timing you must have had to catch the bird in action is incredible!

The composition is also quite stunning, not too far too one side or the other, but not dead centre either.

This is truly a stand out image that deserves applause.
