I'm so angry today and just cannot understand why so much violence, so much hate and so many innocent victims. It is beyond heart breaking and the destruction of Gaza brings blood upon our hands. Β Why can't our money be used for peace? I wish we could have a tax revolt of some kind, maybe if they didn't have our money they couldn't spend it on death. Sorry I shouldn't say anything but today it is hitting me hard.

I'm with you. What has been done in Gaza is unconscionable. And Isael's defenders will say, "Hamas wants to destroy Israel" - is a child taking shelter in a school Hamas? Is a Gazan boy or girl an agent of destruction?
And you're right about the money. I wonder if it could be done, if enough people did it at once. I honestly fear the price we'd pay even if it were a massive movement. The powers that be would ruin many lives before they capitulated, if they ever did. And a movement like that needs a brave charismatic leader leader like Martin Luther King, Jr. or even one of the Kennedys. It's obvious what happened to them. Anything really good happening seems impossible right now. Sorry - this all brings me down too.

thanks, Teresa! yes it is, i had some black scrap i wanted to use, and this piece was much too heavy when first assembled - i had to work at the balance for a while!
