thank you, Ilil!

no problem about being behind - the "real world" has a way of distracting one from dA, doesn't it? and i've got a stack of your stuff in my inbox too!

1,2 and 3 cover most situations but 4 is helpful when the power fails and you have to do it manually.

I love that blue. And I like the obvious layering. It's tactile and also precise. A difficult line upon which to dance.

Thanks very much. As it happens this one was literally difficult - a card that wasn't working that I took apart and put back together. I almost threw it away and I'm glad I didn't, it did work in the end. Not my most direct or best method!

But you didn't give up.

It felt so unfrugal to toss it even though all the material was free!

Oh, I know exactly what you mean. For me it is not only the unfrugal, but the inability to complete something that hits me hard.

That's it exactly - and it's so small, 2.5 x 3.5 inches! But then again, art is always making something from nothing - a challenge at every scale.

That's for sure. And some days just are not as good as others while other days are exceedingly fine. I usually don't know which it is going to be when I start. Luckily, there is usually one of those for scale....

Me either - I look at the scraps every day, usually do at least a little gluing, some days it's happening and some days it isn't. Total agreement about those scaling factors!

3 dimensional.
seems like piercing the blue sky with a tool, only it is done from above.

does it make sense?

i think it makes as much sense as can be made of this one

yes, the dimensionality and the color was what i liked here. also the number four. numbers are orderly, it makes me smile when they are in the midst of disorder.
