my son and I were standing beside each other in the gym with our arms folded, waiting to do more sets. a trainer came by and said, "You doing mental presses now?"

Is it okay if I criticize this in a YouTube video? I actually criticize, I don’t insult. I just want your permission

Before I say yes or no, please send a link to previous youtube critiques you've done.

Okay. If you give full credit to me as the artist in the video and link to my deviantart home page in the youtube text, I accept.

that's a good way to do it, apparently

i was talking with fred free about technique, over at facebook. he selects a scrap, glues it down, selects another one, glues it down, doesn't back up, goes till the piece looks finished. he doesn't start with several scraps and preplan where they'll go.

i can do it that way sometimes but usually not!

it would be very scary to work that way, to me too.

specially when you work the digital and you always have the ctrl-z to count on.

yours is not much glue at the beginning?

the collage version of ctrl-z is a razor blade, and tape that will lift paper

right, not much glue to start. this one for example, i had three big pieces that i moved around till i was sure of where i wanted them, then i stuck them down one by one. then i gradually added others... and scraped some off when i didn't like where i'd placed them.
