“Hello everyone! My name is Tom Hiddleston, and I’m here with Laufey, the Jotun Frost Horse King and the Ambassador today of the Frost Horse breed. A couple of Marvel Stables other horses here are also Jotun Frost Horses. Those being: Loki or Mister Mischief, and Sleipnir. You may be wondering though, ‘But they aren’t blue!’ You are correct, they aren’t blue because they are half breeds. If a horse has 50/50 of Jotun Blood and their normal horse blood, they can learn to change between the forms as they please.
The Jotun Frost Horse is a draft breed ranging from 19 to about 25 hands tall. They are generally on the ‘cool color-range’ spectrum averaging a medium blue tone like Laufey here. Some of them can have ice that grows on them, and like hooves, that must be trimmed back and can be carved if someone wished to.
The Jotun coat is frigid, cold, and can burn your skin if you touch it for an extended period. We like to compare it to dry ice. As such, we often handle them with gloves on. Half breeds thankfully do not always require gloves. Even in Frost Horse form their coat does not burn your skin.
Now, Laufey here doesn’t have much in the way of hair, because of their environment in Jotunheim, hair really doesn’t do much more than freeze and clump together. So, the Jotun Frost Horses have mostly evolved to not have hair, but the modern Frost Horse can be bred to have a mane and tail.
With that out of the way, how about we get to the fun part? As I release Laufey here, you’ll notice his demeanor change drastically once he’s away from me. Jotun’s are notorious for being very temperamental, but severely loyal. Jotun’s have this ability to create ice anywhere they want if the environment has some form of moisture. So, let’s show them how the Frost Giants roam, Laufey.”
The stallion snorted happily and slammed his hooves to the ground, racing through the arena and freezing the ground, crystalizing the ground into ice.
