Description The New League of Extraordinary Gentlemen!

Took me a while to really ponder who to include. I wanted all of the characters to intertwine with each other based on the world they came from, that in someway it was the same world. Of course how and why they are all together I have yet to really think about...Once I finished this sketch I felt it should be an online comic of sorts. Hope some of you may agree...

The Cast:
Bottom Left: Sherlock Holmes
Bottom Right: Medusa (or relative)
Bottom Middle: The Headless Horseman
Top Right: Frankenstein's monster, now named Edgar Frankenstein
Top Middle: The Cheshire Cat
Very Middle: Harold Jackman (note the refection in the mirror, classic...)

A pretty awesome idea! I know all of these characters except for Jackman.

Descendant of Edward Hyde. Made him up to complete the team ^^

Oh, I see. Looks pretty cool! And I love the inclusion of Medusa and the Cheshire Cat. I actually once had a concept for a story about famous killers in history, each of which with powers, who are making up for their heinous deeds by fighting crime in the present.

Ooo that's an idea. What if that team of killers are the main villains? Led by Jack the Ripper?

Actually, Jack IS on the team! But they're actually the protagonists. I also gave them basic powers based on their actual methods in history. Jack the Ripper has retractable knives in his wrists, his "cousin" Spring-Heeled Jack has immense agility coupled with the ability to breathe fire, the Beast of Gevaudan is sort of a werewolf, Vlad the Impaler (he REAL Dracula) can summon wooden stakes out of the ground (don't laugh, it's pretty badass), and a generic Nazi soldier, who I probably really shouldn't have since he's a Nazi, has a bunch of guns. Wachoo think?

are they supposed to be like making up for their heinous crimes by joining the league?

Don't know a lot about them. If I ever decide to take it farther, I'll definitely do some research on other possible members.

Sinbad is a arabian sailor from folklore and James West is from Wild Wild West which is a Steampunk Western Movie

BTW about the Beast of Gevaudan; I'm a bit of a monster fan and I'm familiar with the story. But the facts behind it make an even greater story. For one there is no physical evidence of the beast, though it was shot and killed and stuffed, apparently it was not properly stuffed and decomposed before it could be seen by the public. The hunter who shot it was an outcast and some said was very strange and creepy. Also, it is impossible to shoot straight with a silver bullet, yet the hunter claimed he did it with one.

lol I love monsters too! Of course, I'm a little sad to say that the Beast, or any other monster for that matter, probably never existed. But yeah, that's pretty interesting! My dad, who's an ex-marine btw, told me that silver bullets would actually turn into slag before it left the barrel, and probably damage a perfectly good gun. So much for that myth...

Will this be set in the 21st Century, and, if so, how did Holmes survive to the modern age?

Um, also, how do they all meet? What's their first adventure together? Who will their patron be? (Personally, in the adventure department, the first adventure, in my opinion, should involve Dr. Facilier, Hades, Nightmare, and Viktor "Shadowman" attempting to take over New Orleans. Let me know what you think of this, and the other stuff).

Interesting idea, but honestly I didn't plan very thoroughly.

I know I would like to start the story from Harold Jackman's point of view, for he would be the most normal one until they located him based on his bloodline. As for Holmes, I kinda remembered an old cartoon I used to watch for reference. After retirement, Holmes became a bee farmer and due to certain unfinished work and such his last request was to be preserved in honey (because it doesn't ever spoil, like amber). Best not to divulge too much, I'll come up with something ^^. Thanks for your comments and interest...

One idea I had involves the Sisters Grimm, as, in those books, Chess (the Cheshire Cat) was a member of the magical supremacy group known as the Scarlet Hand. I assume, by this time, he's turned against the Hand, but I assume his past may come back to haunt him?
