Here is the second of my new prints I'm doing for conventions. This time it's Raven from the New Teen Titans. My lines were colored by the amazingly talented . Rey really made everything on this pic shine. The background was all his idea and I LOVE it! THanks so much for making my art look so good, Rey!!!
Update: Okay, have to say this, totally on a high because George Perez himself liked this on Facebook.

I like how you mixed the colors in a way that seems like 2 different forces are fighting for her.
Also I like how you gave her the figure she had in the 80's comics. Well done!

The colors are all credit to Rey. He did a great job on her with those.
As for the figure, I like that Perez gave all the female Titans different shaped bodies. I think that attention to detail is what made the book so great.

That and moving stories too. They made sure that the stories played to the people reading the books at the time.
I know, I was one of them. They (Teen Titans) were the first DC books I ever collected!
The Titans that most people know aka the cartoon are based off of Perez and Wolfman's work. Few people even remember that the Titans were around in the 60's as well. It was the departure from the 60's work that help make the Titan's that we all know love, become who they are now! The villain Mad Mod is an example of this. He was taken directly from the 60's Titans!

Lol, you should check out the original George Perez and Marv Wolfman run on the New Teen Titans. It still one of my all time favorite comic book series and Raven is still one of my favorite characters.

can you draw one with Slade killing off Beast Boy... "Darth Maul" style? with Raven watching?
It's not that i don't like BB or anything, i'm actually a big fan the BBRae pairing myself. But I would also like to see the reaction on Raven's face if that ever happened to BB, before she could tell him her true feelings for him 
This is really amazing! You're so right, Arenzo's colors look great and the background is downright awesome. I could stare at this for hours, it's great.

Yeah, the journal was me thinking out loud and I think a new direction might be called for but for now, if you want to take a stab at one of the villains one of the kids came up with, have at it
