Although I'm not a fan of that day...I wish you all a happy Valentine's Day!
A while ago I promised to draw them again, here it is in my own style.
I was inspired by so many movies, pictures and situations, so I had
lots of fun while practising perspective and forms, working on my style,
colors and the mood. Tell me how you like it
does it tell a story?I had no specific reference for this, but the armosphere of the
"The Little Mermaid - Part of your world (reprise)" scene inspired
me so much that I needed to draw a touching, heart warming
picture like this

I'm intrigued that such a loving image and scene can make me feel sad. I love the idea of Seiya/Usagi, but in order for that reality to happen, Usagi would have to leave Mamoru... I probably feel so strongly conflicted about this because of where I am in my life. I'm engaged to be married, and find myself wondering now and then about who else may be out there, in my future. I guess that means I'm not mature enough for marriage, yet! There's so much knowledge to gain through the meaningful conversations that friends have, and it's unfortunate that gender differences cause a barrier of such communication between many men and woman. I'm glad that Seiya and Usagi were able to have an intimate friendship without it needing to be sexual!
By the way, I met you at Fanime! I was also set up in artist alley. <3 I doubt you remember me, but it's all cool. So many people pass by at a con. ^_^ Maybe we shall cross paths again some day, but for now, it's good to see you on the interwebs!

I think I can relate to unrequited love because I once was in a situation like that. And I was the one who couldn't change the situation, making it better for me. I felt so miserable... so everytime I watch a movie/read a book with story like this, I always feel sorry for the person who stays alone and I wanna help him/her. That's a stupid helper syndrome, I know, but it's also healing me. That's why my pictures often show people who are hurt, but very subtle.
Seiya doesn't fight for Usagi. She chose Mamoru because she loves him
I guess you have to listen to your heart if you're ready for such a choice. Talk to your man, find out if he maybe also isn't sure about the whole thing. Do you have some goals in your life, that you two share? Are you still together because of your dreams or because it became normal? I also had those questions in my head. I'm still not married and have no kids... I feel that I'm not mature enough for that. So I'll wait
And yes, it's great to have a partner with whom you can talk as if he'd be your best friend without any sexual stuff in mind. Unfortunately it's still not common.
And no, I wasn't at Fanime. Btw I live in Germany ^^ maybe you mean someone else?

Awesome, I hated Seiya's involvement with Usagi at first but then that scene came up in the anime where he saved her by throwing a rose in the way and wondered why he wasn't good enough for her. Damn, teared up. Nice work

Yeah, that was my main complaint with them at first, haha. I felt that the whole planet theme was broken with the Starlights' arrival and it bothered me (I could accept Chibi Moon for some reason haha). But then seeing that there were sailors ALL over, I liked it.
That's true, Seiya had more personality and seemed more like a...person than Mamoru did. Mamoru was just the ideal, super smart, charming guy haha. I think Naoko said that's what she was going for with him though, so it's all good 
Anyways, that one particular scene always stuck with me and by the end of the season, I really felt like Mamoru was being a jerk (I completely forgot he was in that incident on the plane like 15 episodes before haha).

If recent (or any times) are to go by, I say keep your hopes up. So far when Japan has revamped an anime, it has been good. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Dragon Ball Z Kai are too good examples of that (although for two different reasons).
Way I see it, it's a new Sailor Moon show, with at least Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask having the same voices. Chances are it will have better animation (hopefully some of the more amazing ones out there) and follow the manga more closely.
I'm not sure if the new anime would have happened just because of the anniversary of because of the fans, but if it was the latter, then I have high hopes! (just hoping for SOME filler episodes if they go with the manga story, since everyone was kind of...shunned other than Mamoru, Usagi and Small Lady).

I would have loved a new story, but I'm also very excited to the all of it again in a new style. I also don't know if they are going to animate everything new or only editing a lot of stuff. Though the same voices doesn't matter for me, coz in german they changed Sailor Moons and Tuxedo Masks voice after the first season which was a huge mistake. But hey, now we'll have everything new
My only wish is: follow the manga closely and with even more details, they can do it! Let's hope the best!!

Yeah, me too. I've seen a few fanarts that suggest the idea of drastically changing the world Sailor Moon took place in, but keeping the themes and some of them are pretty cool.. (one guy made Sailor Moon herself a badass fighter when she transforms and slays monsters like she's in the manga 'Bleach' xD).
But I'm all for the newness! I could stand a re-do of the original anime if they cut back some of the filler episodes (200+ eps because of a lot of repetitive stories haha).
Oooh I see! Yeah, in the US we had some pretty bad dubbing, like the voices were just painful to here, plus the way the voices went over the scenes were also kind of lacking haha. But in this case, I was referring to the japanese voice actors--but we'll see. New anime is supposed to be worldwide..wonder if that means they'll be subbing it for everyone or dubbing it all over!
yes! I've been buying up all the manga I can get (I only ever got up to Sailor Mars' appearance in the manga before)and amazing as it is, it's pretty rushed. If they give the other characters more screentime and extend things a bit, then a manga-based story will be top notch! Ergggh I'm just so excited!!!!!!

Ans so far no news about the series. I'm really excited already!! I love the japanese voices the most althouh I also like our german version. Our voice actors aged and some won't fit anymore to the childish sailor moon setting, I wonder who will be the new ones.
About the Manga: The character developement is better here, even the clothes and I hope they follow that example

I'm going to have to check out German Sailor Moon then! I really like some german dubs, like just the words of the language make certain things sound awesome haha. Hard to imagine it over Sailor Moon though, since it seems like such a powerful language that can come off in more serious anime (or maybe I've only watched more serious anime that happened to have german dubs lol).
I'm still hyped and you keep making me more hyped lol!

I am in love with this picture! I remember through pretty much all of the Anime I always rooted for Usagi and Mamoru, thought they were just the cutest thing ever. UNTIL that last "season" showed up and Seiya came into the picture, she/he in my eyes was so better suited for Usagi in every way. It is so sad it never happened in the real world of Sailor Moon.

That's exactly what I thought. Mamoru was my man especially in the first season, a strong handsome guard. But compaired to the fun that Seiya brought in, he suddenly became more like a boring fairy tale prince charming with no surprise in the future. So I'd totally vote for Seiya. Anytime!
