Although I think you are right. Davy Jones probably has some protection from mental attacks. But he might be more susceptible to someone whose telepathic powers are more effective on sea creatures.

I would agree. He's just not as easy to control as a human because he's a demigod.

Well, he was born human. And is he a demigod though? He isn't the offspring of a god. He was given powers by a goddess. Does that give him enough divinity to rise to demigod status? And then his powers were transferred to Turner quite easily. It seems like much more of a curse than any divine status. He can control the sea and many of it's monsters and sure, that might be enough to count as some sort of god but there is nothing in the movies or books that indicates that he has some sort of telepathic resistance. 
And like I said before, we don't know if Aquaman's telepathy is weaker against Davy Jones because of his powers or if his powers are somehow more effective since Davy Jones is part sea creature.

 As you said, neither the books nor movies states that Davy Jones has any sort of resistance against telepathy, they just say that he's a feared monster who's only weakness is his heart. So if you think Aquaman could control him more easily than he can a human, go ahead and believe that. Because unless the writers of both universes decide to make a canon crossover, then we will never truly know.

What's with the subtle hostility? I'm just thinking out loud. I don't believe in anything, I'm just hypothesizing. I'm not leaning more in either direction. Just stating different facts that might change the outcome of a hypothetical situation.
