No one gave us as much as a single raised eyebrow when we strutted straight through the command center, took a pair of keys, and drove out the front gates and now across the wasteland. We're about on the outskirts of a town, but you're right, driving in with a stolen patrol vehicle and trying to get a room with no money is a bad idea. But I think we're good for now finding this cavern and hiding the vehicle; once we make adjustments to these radios, I should be able to contact an old friend who I'm sure will be thrilled to purchase the patrol vehicle, giving us some starting cash for new ventures. And the talk we had while driving cemented what I was already feeling; I'm glad to have you as my partner for life, and I'm glad we both agreed to this even though we're no longer stuck behind bars together. Yeah, you're right, we should try to get some rest before we scheme much further. Come on, I'll find us a softish spot of ground, and you check the vehicle to see if there is a blanket for us to share.
