I recently started drawing wildlife from a book on learning to draw wildlife. this is my first pic, which I drew via step by step instructions. ^^I hope you all like it. ^^

I like how it looks like you got some of the depth around the eyes. It helps it stand out. I guess the face around the eyes is the first thing that grabs most peoples attention when they see this type of owl.
