*A Hyven is a birdlike species that originated in Ares, before the moon prison. They tend to be more peaceful, and avoided conflict with other races or factions. They lived on the Earthran border, and so when moon prison was sealed many of them were left in Earthra. Though the generations living in Earthra there grew to be notable differences in the two, the main one being That Arean Hyven had black wings, and Earthran had brown. They've been mistakes for sirens from a distance, due to the similarly in their voices, minus the alluring magic. Hyven very rarely breed with anything outside their own species.

Abilities:
- Creational magic
Though this gives her the ability to create objects with magic, it's very restricted and is only used to create her armor and sword. To be able to create an object, she must have a base to create it from. Such examples are the black orb her sword comes from, and the same material her armor is made from accessories, such as a clip for the helmet, bracelets for the gauntlets, anklets fort he boots, and part of her necklace for the chest plate. She has to have what she's creating really planned out in advance, right down to the fine details or risk causing herself some severe injury, so the armor and sword are in a set shape that she learned from her family, and not of her own design. She can't create soft objects, and only with materials with some magical energy already imbedded in it.

- Minor Elemental Magic
She can cast some spells such as a gust of wind or a ball of fire, but the physical toll it takes on her is heavy enough to make her wary of using it. The tolls on her body vary on how powerful the spell, and how long she uses it for. Effects may vary from severe chest pain, shortness of breath, or feeling really weak.

- Flight
Her primary form has wings and birdlike feet, thus allowing her to fly. She's got a lightweight structure which makes flight easier. Though her armor is lightweight due to material, it's still easier if she goes without.

History:
Elsa was born and raised in Erca with her older sister, Maria, who was 3 years older. She was a part of a middle class family, and lived with both her parents. Both she and her sister spent most of their lives in poor health, and stayed within the village they were born in.

When Maria was 11 years old, Her health took a turn for the worse, and strange dark purple marks started showing up on her skin. After an entire year trying to figure out what this was caused by, it was found to be an illness commonly known to show up in children born between a Hyven and other species. Since Hyven very rarely have children outside their species, it proved difficult to find someone who knew how to treat it. Thankfully their uncle had some knowledge of the disease, and being decently close with the family, moved to Erca to help. While the disease was incurable, regular treatment could delay it's progression significantly.
When Elsa was 10 years old, the same illness started showing up in her, too, and she joined Maria in receiving regular treatments.

After the moon prison was released, their father spent less time at home, and more going to Ares to meet the other Hyven, who hadn't been trapped in Earthra. Hyven in general tended to avoid conflict, and welcomes the Earthan Hyven back with open arms. When Elsa and Maria were well enough, their father would bring them to Ares with him. Though enjoyable, the visits always had to be kept short since the sisters needed to return home to get treatment for their illness. As conflicts got worse, their father decided it was no longer safe for them to be leaving Earthra, and the visits stopped. During one of their fathers trips without them, their mother was in an accident, and her ability to walk was hindered. The two girls had no way of contacting their father, and had to take care of their mother until he returned. Once he returned from Ares, he stopped going back, so he could take care of their mother.

When Elsa was 15, and Maria was 18, their uncle called Maria to see him, and gave her a necklace with a blue gem on it. He explained to her that it would even further slow the progression of their illness, and relieve many of the side effects that came with it. He asked Maria not to tell Elsa until he finished the second one he was working on, but less than a week later he died after falling ill. Treating the two girls and creating the stones weakened him, and he was unable to recover. Maria went out and bought a necklace with a similar Gem, and presented the real one to Elsa, and kept the fake for herself. The idea was that Maria had always been the stronger of the two, and she thought she'd hold out better until they could find someone else who could make a second one. Their father regretfully left their mother with her family to be taken care of, and set off with his daughters to try and find someone else who knew enough about the illness to be able to help them.

During their travels they went to various parts of Earthra, trying to find help. He taught them how to fight on their travels, and this lasted for 2 years. Unfortunately, they were attacked by bandits between cities in a heavily forested area, and their father was killed. Both Elsa and Maria escaped, but Maria was in poor health, and the purple markings continued to spread. within 6 months of traveling on their own, Maria became too sick to continue traveling, and they had to stay in a town far away from their home in Erca. Elsa figured out that Maria's necklace was a fake, and insisted that Maria start wearing the real one. Maria agreed, but at this point it did little to help her. Within weeks, Maria passed away. Elsa returned home to Erca to grieve with her mother, but set out again after only a month.

Personality: Elsa tends to be pretty cold and blunt, though she's very proud, and gets very annoyed when people don't take her seriously.
Despite her coldness, she's quite selfless, and doesn't want anyone to do anything for her sake. In many cases she'll do what she can to keep civilians safe, but has less pity for other soldiers, and tends to let them manage themselves. She's incredibly body shy, and very rarely removes her helmet in front of others, or show any skin. Her years of traveling alone have made her wary and paranoid of everyone.
