I love the spontaneity of this piece; the splotches of colour in the background which then fades into the softer details and then the full details of the flowers. It seems like one of those paintings you create on the spot because you are overwhelmed by inspiration (though Iβm sure thereβs a lot of work behind it) Itβs not swallowed up by details and altogether feels very soft and intuitive. To me this perfectly conveys both the abundance and the liveliness of spring; it seems to grow as Iβm looking at it!
