I noticed by looking at the comments that a lot of people are not aware what the word "rape" stands for besides sexual violation, it's used in so many titles of mythology and lore...seizure or abduction.
Like I said, the use of blue and red colour describes very aptly the act of enforced power. Great work!

Could you elaborate? I clearly meant βabduction by a supernatural beingβ in this title, however in contemporary use it does have a different meaning. But where on earth does βromanceβ mean only sexual relationships?

I meant that I didn't know rape meant more than 'sexual abuse'. It was confusing because words like 'lust' and 'amusement' and anything that can relate to sex starts to only mean sex to most folks, so it gets confusing.
People THINK those words only sex and make you think when you only hear those words used for sex.

It's no secret
A month ago I saw the clouds in the sky in a form of a bird, and wanted to paint it, but to add some story behind. One idea was to make a bird stealing crops in a field (as it is common in many fairy tales), but that should occur at night, and does not work too well for sunset. And a poem by Gumilev (and a song by Melnitsa) about the dragon abducting girls stuck in my mind.Β The idea is that a serpent would come to a city and kidnap girls, but they all died on the way and he threw their bodies in the Caspian sea. And he could not understand why they preferred to sleep among sea monsters instead of his royal bed.
And I generally like to hint on the plot in the title and not to show it overtly, I thought that kidnapping girls from the city by the sea is a valid motivation for a cloud bird.

More or less every 2nd word I didn't understand, but the story all in all yes...but I would never put the 2 and 2 together.
Your painting is now in the same category as ballet or opera...you just don't get it, until your read the booklet
