Probably the last picture from Tsukino with {...} I'll post. Looks like there may be a boat load of new pictures after this next weekend. Also there are still 2 Toad pictures and some Nana to post as well.
Felt like posting it as *ManaFromHeaven just finished buying all her own shit for her Hanna so, huzzah.

I have been scouring the internet for someone who actually knows how they did their {...} make up. I'm hoping you did yours. Mostly because I'm trying to figure out what kind of make up I can use to make a nice even green tone for when I do my own Gallahad cosplay. I tried doing something with air brush but then realized that I am really not that good with it. Is there a brand of make up that you would recommend?

Oh, also I should note some of the photos of my costume on DA have been retouched since the green paste tends to wash out a bit in bright lights or in photographs.

Oh! Well, personally I am planning to move onto air brushing soon (my room mate went to school for makeup and is going to teach me) mostly due to the length of time it takes for this...
Anyways, I have a system and a makeup I use for my Ulysses... I use a Ben Nye base, you can order that makeup online or find it at speciality places. I use the 'wtich' colour so I dont look Incredible Hulk. The only problems I have with this makeup is that it takes A LONG TIME. I usually apply it with my fingers, and getting it to be even and all over your face, neck, chest and ears as well. Also it smudges off REAL BAD, so make sure you get a finishing spray so you dnt need to be constantly worried about your face rubbing off on stuf (Like Hanna's glasses that one time...)
I personally think the colour isnt quite right, but from what I've seen every Zombie cosplayer aims for a different shade. Anyways, I totally recommend Ben Nye, and have heard other Zombies have used the same, just make sure you test it a few times before you cosplay to get the hang of it, also to time it. For me the entire makeup process (80% of which is the green) takes just under 2 hours of straight work. :/ Thus why I am trying to move onto airbrush.

Awesome, thanks. ^^ I think I have heard some good things about that brand. I was thinking about getting some stuff from there for a costume I'm going to be doing in a couple of days where I need to be gray (we're airbrushing it. But I'm not sure how it would turn out. We did a couple practice runs and the person doing my make up has a problem with keeping the same distance so it ends up running a lot. >.o) Which reminds me, I need to go get some finishing spray. Craaaap.
I was also planning on going to town with the side burns and the stitches (I found an awesome tutorial for stitches and making them look real.). I can see this taking a while. >< I'll probably try it out. Compare it to air brush and see how I feel about it.

Sounds good! I considered looking up how to make the stitches really realistic but in the end I decided to keep them cartoony, mostly because I have an intense phobia regarding stitches (painting the ones on my neck freaks me out, my hand shakes like crazy) Good luck : D!

Aw. D: Sad day. I guess I'm lucky in the fact that I'm not really afraid of too much. I'm all for going the whole nine yards for a costume. It's what keeps me doing it, I think. The only thing I don't ever want to do is shave off my eyebrows. xD Thanks!

OH MAN HIS EYEBROWS. I have a bunch of plans though for when I can master the airbrush, since that'll take an hour and 25 minutes off, I'm also pretty determined to get this cosplay as close as I can to perfect X3 <3

Ug. Eyebrows. The bane of my cosplay existence. I'm working on that one myself. ^^ I wouldn't mind the extra hour or so in front of a mirror if I think it looks better though. We shall see. ^^ I picked out my paint and stuff already, now I'm just waiting until after this convention I'm going to this weekend to buy the stuff I need. That and looking in to fake facial hair for his side burns. Me too! Mostly because he is too bad ass not to.

Make sure you do a bazillion tests if you use fake hair, you might need to put it on before the green :/

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I don't know how well it would stick. I can see myself standing in front of the mirror now...I can't wait to do this. /so excited.
I tried the air brush thing this past weekend. It didn't exactly work out as planned, but that may be because we aren't too good at it. I wish you luck in your potential air brushing endeavors. I myself don't mind standing in front of a mirror for a couple of hours as long as the outcome makes me happy. ^^
