Age doesn't really play a huge factor in the Sonic universe lol. Only seems " pedo " when an obvious child like character like Cream is paired with an obvious, physically older aged character. In Shadow's case, he's ageless and first of all shouldn't be paired in the first place.

Eh I personally disagree with Shadamy because they never had any interest connections nor interacted like that. Amy would be too much into Sonic and Shadow seems more romanticless compared to the other characters. Those two are like exact opposites also.

I concur, I've just said this, as to why I don't believe in ShadAmy, nor SilvAmy, because he's from the future, making him WAY younger than her. It's also why I don't surliest any to the yaoi or yuri pairings, they all have to big of an age gap between them. And just to make it clear, with Sonic and Amy, that's just a three year age difference, nothing to big for a Hetero shipping, heck , even my parents have a four year age difference, and I don't say that because I ship SonAmy. Crails doesn't have but a two year age gap. And Silvaze, well, I dunno, nor do I with Knouge. But, can't we all just come to the terms that people ship some weird (insert certain derogatory term beginning with the letter "s" here.)?
