I know, it's not really seizury but ignore that (cuz I'm still doing those!
), we're on a serious subject.Why do I think religion is the cancer killing earth? I'll tell you why, it indoctrinates us (as I stated before) into hatred and even causes war, it even rips families apart, and why would it rip them apart? Because some faggot in the family had to get indoctrinated into being a Christian, Jew, Catholic, etc. Religion also prevents us from eating certain foods that might ACTUALLY be good for you (like bacon, yum!) so we don't get nutrients.
Why would it indoctrinate us into hatred? Because they teach that "violent" or "immortal" video games, films, books, music are wrong, thus, making us hate things, there's the indoctrination part. Religion can also make you genocidal and close-minded.
Why does religion cause war? Because they teach you about politics and some even promote joining the military, which also causes war.
Why does it rip families apart? Because someone or a few members of the family had to become religious or leave the religion, which can cause families to be at each others' throats.
Why does it prevent us from eating potentially healthy foods? Because all foods can be healthy when carefully moderated, sometimes we need fat, which comes from beef/pork, because being too skinny isn't healthy, and beef enzymes can be healthy for you!
So, there you go, why I think religion is the cancer killing poor Earth, enjoy.

It depends on the religion. In the Episcopal church, we are taught to avoid war and nothing is said about video games, music or books. My cousins are Jewish and nobody cares. Nobody I know actually listens to Leviticus, so we eat whatever we want.
Please consider more than just the extremists.

You know, I can agree that religion can cause people to be ignorant, but not all people with a faith are hatefull little shit holes. Hell, I'm christan and half of my friends are Muslem or Athiest. No, humanity is the cancer killing Earth. You've been brainwashed into believing that such-and-such does this, and when it comes to the majority of the population believing in mystical hocus-pocus your anger is appreciated, but hating religion is no better than buying into theistic bullshit. Religion relies on all its mysticism and rules to rally people into a group easily manipulated by our corporate owners. Sometimes I want to hurt people who discriminate against people like me, but at least you're being pleasant about it. What exactly do you mean by close-minded?

Some do this, but not mine. I'm semi-vegitarian, but that's because the texture of most meats causes it for it to be hard for me to swallow it. Such as beef. But turkey and bacon is fine.

Well, actually, that would be people with the more psychotic and twisted and hate fueled religious beliefs that end up hurting people. Which sadly ends up being some of the largest religious denominations on earth whose teachings got really nasty throughout the centuries. ;_;

To say that religion is the root of these "evils" is not very accurate. There are many factors other than religion that play a part in conflicts.
I watch videos, play games, read books, and listen to music that would make my over-zealous Christian family members cringe. Does that mean I am going to conform to atheism? No, because God does not trap me when it comes to creativity and being myself. At the same time, It's not a bad thing if people do not want to indulge in those things. Just because they don't does not mean they are brainwashed or corrupted.
There are other issues than religion that are the cause of war. If you read up in some history, some wars even started because they wanted to get rid of religion, or they had nothing to do with religion at all.
I live with my dad, who is agnostic. We are best friends and he is the best dad I've ever had, and he'll even go to church with me when I have nobody to go with. That means alot to me, more than anything.
My mom and dad didn't believe in anything when they chose not to marry because my mom mistreated my father. My bf's family has homosexual members and religious combined, and they love each other so much and treat each other as such. Religious differences is not the main cause of family separation.
I LOVE meat and fish and shrimp, and I'm a Christian 
Now while I can't talk for anyone else, my belief in God or other's belief in God has done nothing to harm others or harm myself in my life. You are entitled to your opinion, but I suggest you get some facts straight before you try to shove the blame on something you don't like.
