I really needed to make one, I've been changing his outfit non-stop and I think this one might finally be the final.
I really wanted the coat to be weird looking like that. It was his father's, so it was too big for him when he first got it. Only I wanted to make it seem like he got too use to the sleeves pulled up. The coats suppose to be REALLY out of place. So I made it sorta Japanese-ish, since the main inspirations for the comic is French, Japanese, and Steampunk.
Naila's side acts more like Japan army wise (world war two Japan) but they take on more of a French style. It's the other way with Kine. Which weirdly enough I planned on it being completely switched xD goodness stuff changes so much in this story.
Anyways. The coat. Solar's father was part of Naila's army, but he married his mother which you know....spoiler stuff....
I really love how it looks so awkward though. Solar is just an awkward character, he never really learns to respond to things right, it's fitting.
I was gonna change the coat brown to match his color palette, but once again the gray coat wearing assassin from the original got to me. I just HAVE to keep the color. Plus it works out with my story whatever thing. And I like the half and half thing....sorta like a reminder that he never FULLY agrees with Naila in a way.

That's pretty much it unless you want me to start talking about why I choose every different color.
