La Chine se met à la "modernité" donc... Mais qu'est-ce qui est le plus raffiné et "évolué" ? Ce genre de style, ou celui des maisons typiques d'Amsterdam, telles que celles qu'on peut voir sur ta précédente photo ? A mon avis 'il n'y a pas photo', il n'y a pas de 'match', comme on dit en bon français.

Gilles, mon cher ami, a mon avis, ca sera tres difficile de metre et de considerer toutes les choses selon le meme etalon. Il faudra savoir comment tenir compte de toutes les autres conditions qui completes l'environnment (politiques, economiques, etc.)
En tout cas, en ceux qui me concerne j'essaie de juger chaque travaille sans faire des classements ... comme j'aimes beaucoup le faire quand j'etais tres jeune.

Riki you are a sage. Lots of people do like me and evaluate more or less positively what they see: for example, I think the vast majority will say they would prefer to live in the Amsterdam's houses instead of these ones (I can judge of that if only by reading comments of both photos).
Now this kind of modern style has its charm too, but I really wonder if we have progressed in terms of quality of life and human housing. Economical interests come before or supplant human's ones often. Well this type of urbanism allows masses of people to have a decent and comfortable home, that's not nothing... It implies another way of life, more efficient and functional... more 'modern' so, indeed.
And there is a certain sense of 'grandeur' in your photo, that's for sure.

thanks so much Gilles. Personally, I am quite satisfied with my location (suburbs of Tel Aviv) but certainly I could accept to live in Geneva (where my daughter resides for about of one dozen years). I do not think Amsterdam or any place in China could be acceptable. Otherwise for one month per year Paris and New York are appealing as well.

Personally I tend to be allergic to modern, but I would love to live in NY (for some time). Go figure. Well there's no accounting for tastes, they are quite subjective, with lots of irrationality involved I think...
