Hello there ^.^/,
it's been a while since I finished a painting. I somehow always get that summer low, where I mostly sketch and such. And that's ok. But now I was very happy to get back to colours again.
This scene was heavily inspired by all the asian series I saw lately ^^°° *cough Mo Dao Zu Shi cough * I hope you can enjoy it, even if you' re not into that kind of setting.
I used:
-watercolours
-pencil (for lines )
-tiny bit of opaque white

Yes indeed! ^___^ A teeny-tiny bit. I used some opaque white to paint the rooftops of that... well I imagined it to be some kind of temple in the top right corner and for some highlights on the characters. The rest of whiteish-colour you see in the painting is actually achieved by the propper watercolour-technique of... no idea how you call it. ^^° Letting the paper stay white... or dabbing it frantically with a sponge to take some of the paint away again in my case.

I never seen that series before, but looks amazing! I been watching chinese drama so this works for me.

Oh, if you're already into chinese drama, you should defenitely try that one. You even have the choice to see the anime or the real film version... or both . The TV-station (? I think) holding the rights has thankfully made both available an YouTube. So... have a try ^___^.
